Tanev’s rendering of the Lord’s Prayer is intended for a church use with modest forces. In it the composer opts for a simple homophonic setting with mild chromaticism with careful textual underlay, shifting the time signatures to support the correct textual accentuation. The composer employs mild chromaticism for word painting.
